Gordon's Bay is an attractive little town situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. It has a boat harbour and naval school, restaurants, lots of accomodation and a great second hand bookshop, so you can get some good pulp fiction before heading to the seductively named 'Bikini Beach'.
There's an attractive beachfront promenade, and like most of Cape Town, it can get a summer afternoon wind, but also enjoys the most spectacular sunsets of them all. This should be re-named 'Golden Bay'.
