Stellenbosch is one of the Cape's oldest, prettiest of towns, filled with oak trees and some of early examples of Cape Dutch buildings. It has a University - the academic home of many Afrikaans-speaking people.
The town centre boasts some top restaurants and tourist-friendly shops. This is the heart of the Cape Winelands, and if you're looking for wine farms to visit, there are too many to choose from. Come back again and again and again...
