Caledon, like Bredasdorp, is a farming centre, for wheat, barley and wool farmers. Caledon is well known for it's mineral hot springs, iron rich waters bubbling out the ground at 50 deg celcius. There is a spa to help you enjoy this, which also doubles as a casino complex, with all the usual casino amenites.
On the edge of town is the renowned wild flower garden, with an annual wildflower show in September.
